“FutureShift lives at the intersection of speculative fiction and social change.” Jo Miles and Amanda Kloer help social changemakers tap into the power of speculative fiction to envision better (or worse) future worlds, and convert those ideas into powerful messaging tools for today’s most pressing advocacy issues and needs. They also help speculative fiction writers understand the thought leadership behind today’s social movements in order to write more compelling, realistic, and powerful visions of tomorrow.
Unit5 Design worked with FutureShift to develop a logo that combined the futuristic nature of speculative fiction along with the idea of being a catalyst for change: envisioning the world now, how it could be in the future, and that crucial moment when imagination becomes action in the effort to change the course of humanity toward a better future.
